Recorder: Every device has a standard recording app. If you're finding it's kind of dumpy - they mostly are. I just stumbled across this Dolby one - it seems to be a little better.
If you're looking to upgrade your metronome game, check out "Pro Metronome". There is a free version but the is what I use in classes. It's never failed me.
For tuning, I would recommend going on YouTube and looking up a "drone" either in Bb (brass) or A (ww's)
